Andaman & Nicobar

I lived in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for a year - not as a visitor, but as someone temporarily rooted there. My husband’s army posting gave me access to parts of the islands most people never see, and I found myself in places few ever reach. Quiet groves, untouched palms, produce so pristine it felt almost sacred.

This is where coconut oil stopped being just an ingredient and became an experience. I was introduced to Virgin Coconut Oil - not the kind we grow up with, but oil that was fragrant, fresh and alive. It felt untouched, honest & whole.

I didn’t know it then, but something had shifted. That year planted a seed. One we didn’t name yet.

Tamil Nadu

The journey continued inland, through a month-long exploration across Tamil Nadu with my family. Here, the landscape shifted, but the philosophy remained.

Sustainability not as a concept, but as a way of life. I saw farmers tapping coconut blossoms with patience and care. Sugar and honey made slowly, without stripping the land or exhausting the tree. We discovered communities that worked with the land, not against it.

The sweetness I found there was gentle, not excessive. And it made me question why purity was so hard to find elsewhere.

Kerala

My search for the finest Desiccated Coconut led me to a friend in Kerala’s lush green heart.

What I found was more than quality - it was innovation anchored in tradition. A patented, temperature-controlled process that preserved the coconut’s natural oils, aroma, and softness without shortcuts. Coconut that wasn’t defatted or over-processed, but respectfully dried.

Even more unexpectedly, I discovered a women-led venture quietly upcycling discarded Coconut Shells. What others burned as waste was being transformed into bowls, candles and objects meant to be used, reused and cherished.

Nothing wasted. Everything honoured. That felt like home.

Assembling the Avengers

No meaningful journey is walked alone. Slowly, intentionally, I gathered my people. People who shared the same values and patience.

A partner who cared about sustainability beyond labels. A brother who helped ground the dream in numbers. A creative designer who understood restraint. Photographers who could capture silence. Manufacturers who respect materials. Marketers who valued honesty over noise. A father who believed in my vision. A husband whose support made space for the dream. And a mother whose blessings continue to guide every step, watching over me.

I wasn’t assembling a team. I was forming a circle.
